Cornerstone CFCU Arena

Operated by Lockport Ice Arena & Sports Center in the heart of downtown Lockport, the Cornerstone CFCU Arena offers a wide variety of options for members of the public to enjoy. From open skating sessions to hockey and figure skating programs and the unique Ice Bumper Cars, there is no shortage of fun options at the arena. However, the organization felt that it was largely known for hockey and wanted help with rebranding and repositioning itself in the community to help better communicate the breadth of options for affordable family fun that keeps children and young adults engaged and physically active.

As part of our annual CreateAthon® effort, JFG worked on a number of projects for the arena to support this drive for new communication points. First, staff and volunteers developed a new comprehensive brochure for the arena, outlining all programs and activities available to help inform members of the community about all the different options offered at the arena. JFG also produced bus shelters and billboards to help spread the word throughout the area and secured complimentary placement services through media partners. Thirty-second radio scripts were also drafted to help further promote the arena on local airwaves, and new social media templates were created and provided to the arena to help better promote recurring events like weekly open skates, weekend skates and other activities.
