“Never call an accountant a credit to his profession; a good accountant is a debit to his profession.”

Charles Lyell

1. Why did you pick this profession?
It really found me. I was terrible in math until 4th grade and then something clicked and it became my favorite subject. I actually went to school for Engineering (lots of difficult math). After almost 20 years in the field I wanted a change and wanted something with more number crunching, Excel spreadsheets, calculations… all that good stuff. Accounting was the perfect answer.

2. What’s your favorite hobby and why?
I love the outdoors, camping and hiking. Unfortunately in WNY, you can’t do too much of that for many months out of the year, so crafting and arts is a second favorite. Both of these things help get me out of my analytical head and help me chill.

3. What famous person (dead or alive) would you like to meet and what would you say?
I have always admired Oprah Winfrey. I find her attitude and what she has done with her life very interesting. She has overcome a great deal of adversities in life and has made a positive impact in everything she has done professionally. I would ask her how she keeps such a positive outlook on life.

4. What was your first concert and do you still listen to their music?
I attended a Barry Manilow concert with my grandparents. Can’t say I ever listen to him.

5. What actor/actress would play you in a movie and why?
I am really not a movie or TV person so this is a difficult one for me. But I have always enjoyed movies with Sandra Bullock. She is always funny and quirky… just what I have always wanted to be, but will NEVER be close to that. So why not have her play me in a movie?

6. How would you describe your primary role at JFG as it relates to customers?
I see my primary customer as all the people employed at JFG. I help provide the product and services they need to provide to our clients. I ultimately provide the invoices to our clients and am here to answer any questions they may have related to that.
