Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center
The Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center (OLCJC) in South Dakota needed to increase awareness, drive donations, and garner support for its mission to help children who have experienced severe physical and sexual abuse.
Challenge
Having never conducted any marketing efforts before, OLCJC required comprehensive branding, including a distinctive look and feel, a defined brand voice, and clear messaging points. The goal was to communicate the severity of the issue and the vital role OLCJC plays in providing support while ensuring dignity and respect for victims within the framework of Lakota culture.
Tactics
To achieve these objectives, the following strategies were implemented:
- Brand Identify: Designed a new logo to create a strong and recognizable brand identity for OLCJC, providing a visual foundation for all marketing materials
- Marketing Material: Created two mission-driven posters and a comprehensive brochure detailing the history, services, and donation opportunities for OLCJC. Designed new business cards for staff members and developed matching stationery files for office use, reinforcing a professional and cohesive brand image.
- Multimedia Advertising: Billboard designs and social media templates were developed to drive awareness and fundraising efforts. Wrote TV and radio scripts to help OLCJC spread its message through local South Dakota broadcast stations, ensuring the organization’s mission reached a broad audience.
