What is Google Ads?
Google Ads is a paid advertising platform that allows advertisers to bid on specific keywords to have their ads shown to relevant audiences. These text ads reach higher intent audiences who are at the research and decision stage. The “Ad” next to the URL separates these from the unpaid search results.
Who is Eligible for a Google Ad Grant?
Registered Nonprofit Organizations must be recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations formed for charitable, educational, religious, literary, scientific, or other tax-exempt purposes.
You must have a website: The Google Ad Grant works by sending search traffic to your website, so Google requires that you have a responsive website set up.
You are not eligible for Google for Nonprofits if your organization is:
- A governmental entity or organization
- A hospital or health care organization (however, charitable arms or foundations associated with healthcare organizations are eligible).
- A school, academic institution, or university
You must also be a nonprofit charitable organization in good standing, and meet the full eligibility requirements in your country.
