Twenty-Four Hour Creative Blitz to Provide Several Local Nonprofits with Free Marketing Services During CreateAthon10

Create a thon LogoApplications are open for CreateAthon®, an annual 24-hour event that provides free advertising and marketing services to area nonprofit organizations. This year marks the tenth anniversary of Western New York’s CreateAthon.

Nonprofit organizations may request projects including the creation of logos, letterhead packages, brochures, advertisements, direct mail campaigns, posters, radio scripts, outdoor billboards, signage, banners, and more by completing an online application at jfitzgeraldgroup.com/createathon. Each application will be evaluated for inclusion based on audience reach, the ability of services to make an impact on the nonprofit organization, and opportunities to help groups that are currently underfunded. The deadline for applications is June 12, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

“CreateAthon is a fun and inspiring way to give back to the community in a creative way,” said Carmel Cerullo-Beiter, Vice President of J. Fitzgerald Group. “Each year, this event lends support to charitable organizations in need of a marketing boost and aims to make a difference for each organization served.”

Up to five organizations will be selected to take part in CreateAthon10; selections will be announced on June 20, 2017. J. Fitzgerald Group will meet with each of the beneficiary nonprofits prior to the event to discuss the marketing tools they need most. The round-the-clock creative and design marathon will begin at 8:00 a.m. on July 20, 2017 when the J. Fitzgerald Group team and a group of volunteer graphic designers, writers, and brand strategists will assemble at the JFG offices at 12 West Main Street in Lockport. Finished work will be presented to the selected nonprofit organizations at 8:00 a.m. on July 21, 2017.
