Branding & Awareness

Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center

JFG worked with the Oglala Lakota Children’s Justice Center in South Dakota as part of CreateAthon 2019. The organization was looking to increase awareness in the region and drive donations and support for its efforts to help children who have suffered from severe physical and sexual abuse.

The center had never done any marketing before and needed overall branding of the organization, including the development of a look and feel, brand voice, theme and messaging points. The goal was to communicate the extent of the problem and the programs that the OLCJC provides to help, while also providing dignity and self-respect to the victims in an environment that embraces the importance and influence of the Lakota culture.

A number of different materials were compiled for the center during CreateAthon. JFG created a new logo to start to give the center a more appealing and recognizable brand identity, then used it to create two new posters to promote the mission of the OLCJC. A comprehensive brochure was also written and designed to outline the history of the OLCJC, its services and information on how to donate and contribute. JFG also developed billboard designs and social media templates to help drive fundraising and overall awareness. The team also designed new business cards for staff members, and created matching stationery files for office use. Finally, JFG wrote TV and radio scripts for the center to use and broadcast on local stations in South Dakota.
